About Northern Virginia Premier Volleyball Club

Northern Virginia Premier Volleyball Club completed its inaugural season in Spring 2009 and we have expanded to offer teams in all age brackets.

2009 brought a new, explosive volleyball club to girls in Northern Virginia - NV Premier - designed to develop and expand the technical aspects of the game.

NV Premier provides an opportunity for the Region's Top female players to excel against their opponents while providing premium exposure to National College Recruiters.

New to Club Volleyball? Maybe the following will help answer some of your questions.

What is Club Volleyball?

Club volleyball typically runs from the conclusion of the High School Volleyball season (early November) to the National Junior Olympics Volleyball Championships in early July (for those teams competitive enough to receive a bid to attend the National Championships).

Who plays at NV Premier?

NVPremier is for those players serious about volleyball - those looking for serious development in preparation for high school teams - those looking to play volleyball in college.

How are Clubs defined?

NV Premier Volleyball is affiliated with the Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association (CHRVA) which includes Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. When you join your Regional Volleyball Association (RVA), you become a registrant of USA Volleyball (USAV), just like the players on the 2008 Beijing Games gold and silver medal winning USA Volleyball teams. Based in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA Volleyball is the National Governing Body (NGB) of the sport, serving the lifetime sport of volleyball at all ages and levels, through its 40 RVAs and other affiliated members. NV Premier is classified as a Jr. Olympic team (for players ages 18 and under).

How do you participate in Club Volleyball?

All clubs in the region hold tryouts in early November. Teams are selected from those who attend tryouts. Club volleyball is a commitment. A commitment in time with practices and tournaments, and a cost commitment. The Chesapeake Region is fortunate to offer clubs and teams of varying levels of play and commitment.
