Summer Volleyball Camp

The Hoop Magic Summer Volleyball Camps being offered in July are for girls interested in improving their volleyball skill level. Skill development and fundamental accuracy are the driving forces behind our highly qualified coaching staff consisting of coaches from various clubs and schools in Northern Virginia. Our camps are designed for technical training, but also to create an energetic, enthusiastic, safe, and most of all FUN atmosphere. Hoop Magic is dedicated to teaching skills and disciplines that will benefit players both on and off the court.

 

Hoop Magic will be holding the following camps:

General Skills~ 6pm-9pm~ Session I July 5-9 & Session II July 12-16 $250 each

 

This program is open to players of all skill level. We will cover passing, hitting, serving, and setting in order to give a solid skill foundation for beginners and continue the development in the advanced skill set. In addition, we will go over advanced game play including how to generate an intricate offense, serve receive, and coverage for both the offense and defense positions.

 

Hitter Training~ 6pm-9pm~ July 19 $100

 

Program will focus on hitting instruction for specific positions hitters such as middle blockers, outside hitters, and right side hitters.. Approach footwork, arm swing, and defense will all be covered.

 

Setter Training~6pm-9pm~ July 20 $100

 

This program is designed to enhance the technical aspects of setting. Instruction on hand positions, footwork, and setting techniques will be covered. In addition to these fundamentals, this skills session will cover more advanced setter training aspects such as how to run an offense, decision making and the role of a setter on a team.

Defense Training~6pm-9pm~ July 21 $100

 

Players will be taught the fundamentals of passing and defense. The aspects of footwork, platform, digging, and reading the hitter and offensive systems are just a few of the keys that our defensive training skills session will cover.
